Re: Newbie Needs Help Loading Profile in AD9548 Eval Software

Neil,

Thanks for the .psu file.  I loaded it successfully into the AD9548 Eval Software.  And afterwards, I saw the parameter settings in the Profile Summary window.  I compared your .psu file with the one that I generated -- and the major difference appears to be that your file has some extra lines at the bottom of the file related to "Register Map".  So why are these lines missing from the file that I generated?  I assume that Excel (2003) did not save those lines.  ... maybe there is a compatibility issue with Excel 2003.  We don't have any other version of Excel at this office.  I will try getting my laptop from home (has Office 2010) to try generating the profile file.

Thanks for sending me a known good .psu to try.   At least I am making some progress.

I still don't have the Quick Start demo working yet.  The other day I was having problems getting the "Calibrate System Clock" process to work using the on-board crystal/system clock.  ... Let me work through these things -- and see where I land.

... by the way, I probably need some advice from one of the Analog Devices Applications Engineers.  I'm planning to use the AD9548 in a 1PPS disciplined oscillator application.  I've seen a few white papers and webpages on the Analog Devices website regarding this.  Once I get the Quick Start Demo working, my next plan is to get a 1PPS frequency lock working.   Do you have any recommendations on how to get help with the 1PPS application?  ... should I just post my issues here to the Engineer Zone?

Regards,

Gary
