PREVIOUS POST>> I tried to use analog discovery to look at SPI signals DOUT and CS. I also changed the address to PROD_ID. It seems like it only generated static. There were no clear cut digital signals.
NevadaMark>> I am not really sure what you are trying to say here. Are you saying that there were no signals on CS and DOUT or just on DOUT? Back to post #7 in this discussion: Have you done this? This is essential for knowing that "SPI signals look fine." See reference text in red.
FROM POST #7>>If you end up having to put a scope probe on the four SPI lines to verify these things, check out Figure 16 in the ADIS16485 datasheet (page 11 on Rev D). Hope that helps!

PREVIOUS POST>> For number 2, do I just link it to a vdd pin on j1? I will include a picture of the noise. I removed the cables and a similar pattern of noise was also generated. I offset the signals for easier observation.
NevadaMark>> J1 would be fine to start with. Note that the ground path on your scope probe could be important for this (and the digital signal) measurements. You may be limited by the probes you have but minimizing the loop area helps reduce ringing in the measurements.
Hang in there! You will figure this out!
