AD9361 - LMT overload detector

Figure 18 in Reference manual shows the LMT overload detector located after the mixer and TIA.

Is it true that this detector will only detect signals within the analog IF bandwidth of the mixer+TIA? So a blocker signal could still potentially be overloading the LNA or mixer input (if too much LNA gain is in place) yet not be detected by the LMT overload detector.

For instance, a 0dBm 6GHz blocker signal at the RF input would not be detected by the LMT overload detector if the RXLO was set at 2.4GHz, because the blocker is too far away to fall within the IF range. If the LNA gain was cranked up to receive a low level signal at 2.4GHz, would it unknowingly be amplifying the 6GHz signal and saturate both the LNA and mixer input?

thanks
