I think the evaluation software can help you out. Try using the Reg Map Debug, upon initializing the evaluation software with values. The Reg Map Debug allows you to view the register values of the DDS and from there you can mimic those values to your SPI interface when doing the development or prototyping stage. This is method is much convenient as compared to looking at the datasheet register map.
