This thread is pretty long I think starting a new thread with chip part numbers and other key information in the titile to high light it, and with patch for your code changes would be a good idea? We are expecting a clean patch from you that we can think about merging it into ADI release. Also you can submit a patch to the upstream Linux kernel, https://www.kernel.org/. However personally I think it would be great and easy for the kernel to accept if you can implement your fix from within the Micron related driver code instead of doing some hack on common spi framework and ADI bfin SPI driver.
